I'm painting my double height entry a warm medium grey (green undertones) Pratt & Lambert Appaloosa, warm white trim, black rail on the stairway - I wanted a very very light, almost silvery grey for the ceiling but cannot find one. Everything I try feels heavy and either blue or taupe or worse yet lavender. The painter is coming Monday morning. I knew exactly what I wanted - just can't seem to get it right. I don't want the ceiling to be a statement, just a slight contrast with the crown moulding.
