Lighting in master bath

We are renovating our master bath that is 11'x13' with a 92" double vanity. There will be an LED pot light in the shower and three more in the room plus sconces mounted directly on the large vanity mirror. Our thought was to install three side sconces, approximately 36" apart so that each sink would have a sconce on either side. The sconces I like best are the Norwell Astor 9651 which I saw here on houzz. Have never seen them in the person so my question is will they provide enough task lighting at the vanity. Max 60 watt incandescent "tube" bulbs is the lamping. Separate switches and dimmers can be installed.

Oh, there is a window and a large skylight so lots of light in the day. Nighttime lighting in our old bath was horrible. Could not apply makeup after sundown.

Would appreciate any comments before I order the lights.

I'm happy that you're choosing sconces to flank the mirror! That is the best way to light mirrors for things like applying makeup. You should have great task lighting at the vanity. (Definitely install the dimmers too--that's a good idea.)

Thanks Lights Online. So you think the 60 watt tube sconces will be bright enough?

We are building new and have installed LED fixtures or are using LED bulbs in standard fixtures throughout the home and the results are great. You might be able to find LED bulbs for the 60 W fixture with the color spectrum and Lumens that work best for the location and task.

Thanks jpdo. I wasn't sure LED would necessarily be brighter and we did have an LED sconce picked out but I a liked this style better, more traditional. We are sure that the LED retrofit tube bulbs will eventually be available here so I think we will chance it with the incandescent for now. We are actually renovating three bathrooms and have picked out a 36" LED fixture for my son's bath....more contemporary style in there. And a lighted mirror, also LED, for my daughters bath. Pot lights all LED as well. Happy to here you're LED choices worked so well.
