Rose leaves get old and yellow and the ones burried in the plant don't get enough sun. That is normal. Also, too much water can cause yellow leaves. I would repot the rose in a larger container. Potted roses lose nutrients faster than in the ground, but larger pots will retain nutrients better than a small one. The roots will surely outgrow the one you have (even though I think the cat is cute).

Your mini rose left ideal green house conditions and will need some time to adjust to the real world.

Thank you :) It just rained so that's all the water :D and I just fed her the other day. Aaaawwwww I love the kitty pot holder :( but if it'll help my plant I'll put her in a bigger pot. Hmmm...this does give me the excuse to buy a new pot :D lol I don't know why I keep referring to my plant as her but I'm a crazy cat lady too so it fits lol Is it necessary to separate the plants or can I just remove some of the old soil and put them in a bigger pot?

Oh and would a organic potting mix with some extra perlite be a good medium for the roses? :)

I went and bought a bigger pot last night. :) I was waiting for all the rain to stop so I can start moving all the minis I bought to bigger pots. I figure I'll try and remove what dirt I can gently and put it in some new potting mix. The potting mix I have has a lot of similar things to yours and I was going to add some perlite to help with drainage. I will definitely look at that site. I'm thinking of joining an African Violet group too. :)

I'm still debating whether or not to put minis or regular size roses by my walk way. They're both so pretty. I do like that a lot of the regular sized ones are fragrant. :)

She sells small bands, but they are very reasonably priced and shipped. Large roses are nice too. Good luck with your decisions. Planning is half the fun.

That Scentsational rose was beautiful :) I transferred all but one of my roses to bigger pots. I put the smaller roses in small pots (bigger than what they were in) and when they grow into them I'll repot as needed :) I put some pics. The one I posted about already looks happier and I just moved her. :) Sorry about all the leaves! Lol

Thank you :D I can't wait for them to start blooming. That one plant is the only one that has kept putting out blooms after I brought them home.

They will bloom again. They are probably busy growing roots now that they have space to grow. They also will eventually send up a strong new cane. Enjoy :-)
