It looks nice with the carpets and my favorite picture is the last one looking towards the upright piano. It took me a minute to get used to it, but I have to say, I like it!

No I don't think it's too big at all. I find that when you take them out the box they always look really big but they're installed that changes. I think what you have so far looks good.

I think it will look better to you once you have some art on the walls and drapes instead of plastic blinds. Its probably hust the overall slightly unfinished look of the room thats throwing it off. Beautiful room!

Another suggestion is replace the round side table by the couch with something rectangular with more presence. As it is now the 2 side tables both being round metal style is not creating much interest

Great choice, I like the way it creates a pattern on your ceiling.

Ceiling fixture is fine but your arch light should go. Doesn't match your setting. Put an end table with a table lamp instead.

I think the chair should move to the other side of the entryway, away from the piano. Looks a bit lopsided next to it and appears to be in the doorway instead if a part of the room.

Thanks for the thoughts! you are only seeing half of the room though- the chair is in the middle of the room, not any doorway. I have a large home office desk and wall unit coming for the other side of the room, so the furniture placement will make sense when it all comes together!

Can you take a picture showing the other side? I'm afraid adding 2 more large pieces is going to overwhelm that space.

This is kind of showing the other half (picture was taken right after we just painted- I don't have any others on me since it's ugly right now!). That half of the room is 12x12. The new desk isn't that big- it's a table desk that will float in the middle of that space and then a back storage wall. It will fit nicely :) I'm just concerned about that light overwhelming the room!

Ok, I raised it up a bit. I'm trying to help with the dwarfing of the coffee table under it. Does this look better or worse?

I like the height now. The light itself is such a statement piece. I think it's a great choice for that room.

Your rooms are gorgeous and you have great taste, but those overhead lights create such a harsh look. Are you planning to use lamps instead? I must be super sensitive to that lighting.
