a bigger one

the trouble with a single large entry rug/runner is guests will wipe their feet as they come in and your big rug will be dirty in one spot. or else they won't wipe their feet (because they dont want to get the large rug dirty) and instead track wet on your floor.

so i'd set it up with a larger entry rug thats small enough to be cheaply replaced but large enough for people to wipe their feet and set their wet shoes to one part of it. by the time they leave they can carry their now dry shoes to the bench to put them on.

Do you have clients in that office? If so you don't want a runner directing them towards the rest of the house you want something directing them towards to office. I would place a small mat at the door then a large rug in the center.
