Gray tile floor

In all my searches for white and gray kitchens all the floors have wood. I have a dark wood throughout my house and we would be getting floor in my kitchen and foyer which would not be a good idea with my dog and her nails. Does anybody have any suggestions on gray tile floors I can search for on houzz? Plugging in gray tile isn't really turning up much. Also what are your thoughts on a grid pattern or a border design?

You could search slate. Not sure about a design; I guess it depends on the floor size.

Wood floors are popular right now, but there are tons of gray tiles out there, some with a cement look, etc. I've been doing them in my rehabs.

You need to get samples to get the tone you want. I suggest Floor & Decor -- their Uptown Gray and their Urban Landscape Silver Lake are both great.
