It depends on the cabinetry you select, because there is a wide range of Builder grade cabinets out there depending on the price range.

With that said, today you can get good quality cabinetry which still considered to be Builder Grade and they come with plywood construction, dovetail drawer construction, soft-close glides and hinges, etc and that is pretty much are the most important items you want to have in your kitchen and still pay a very reasonable price for your kitchen without breaking the bank.
