Our kitchen is small and closed off. We are planning on opening up the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room (the wall on the right) making it at least 12 feet in length. The width remain the same, roughly 8 1/2 feet. We have natural hickory cabinets and plan to paint the kitchen light color to open up the space. We will not be moving the sink, dishwasher (on the right of the sink not in layout) or the stove. My question is, how should we arrange the cabinetry to make our kitchen the most functional and spacious? The wall on the right will be open, all other walls are closed except for the door to the hallway.
