It is always a good idea to use a sealer on natural stone. Especially in an area where you have a lot of grease and foot traffic. Consider a stone enhancer for the darker wet glossy look. They are commonly found at most hardware stores and tile supply stores. Always test on a single sample piece of the stone to insure that you like the final appearance before applying to the finished floor.
