how should i lay-out my bathroom?
Comments (6)The toilet should never be the first thing you see when entering the bathroom. Put the toilet on the left of the door. Facing it the sink with vanity and mirror. That will give an illusion of twice the space. Use the maximum space possible to still allow access to the shower. You might want to look into a neo-angle shower to allow for a nicer flow. Good luck....See MoreI have no idea how to organise/decorate my bathroom
Comments (16)Hel, you mentioned that one of your concerns was having no storage space for toilet paper, sundries and things that aren't "decorative." How do you feel about a small cabinet between the sink and the toilet? It could be a nice wood cabinet or one that has baskets for drawers. Or, do you have a linen closet outside of the bathroom for storing towels, bedding and other necessities? Christi, on behalf of Thos. Baker...See MoreHow should I redo my old bathroom?
Comments (6)Unless you need the storage a pedestal sink would be nice as well and make your bathroom appear larger. If you don't want to replace the tile on the walls, I would inquire about maybe painting over them. Just replace the floor tile, I just heard about a tile that looks like a wood floor, which would be a nice solid look and then do the other updates after you get that all done. Those white surrounds would be a nice thought for the tub/shower area and replace that plastic curtain with a tempered glass shower door that would sit on top of the tub and slide to the one side. If you will be needing the medicine cabinet then maybe a mirrored one would look nice above the sink instead and then put some artwork of some sort above the toilet. Don't forget that darker colors tend to close in small spaces! So depending on what you do with the wall tile, any neutral colors or light shade of the gray or taupes would be perfect! Good luck with your project!...See MoreWhat should I do with the space inbetween my wall and bathroom vanity?
Comments (4)Is the bathroom used by one or two people? Is there enough storage for personal items (drawers) and bathroom supplies (towels, toilet tissue and cleaners) in the new cabinet? The extra 12" is enough for a trash receptacle. The long wall can have towel bars or towel hooks. I would want a hook for my towel just outside the shower door opening (so I wouldn't have to put my towel on the toilet seat). Make sure the shower door will have enough space to open wide without bumping the toilet....See MoreAnn Blanco, Realtor®️
