We have a very long island with four mini-pendants, then the stove, and then another countertop area. I have been searching for a light for over the countertop area for what seems like two years and I'm just stumped. See photos for a better idea; the first is the light that needs to be replaced (IMO) and the second is the other side of the island.

I love the light that's currently there, but it just doesn't put out enough light. I think something with an opaque shade needs to go there, but would love some input. We're thinking about the Rejuvenation Corona light (see photo), but I'm worried we're going to have the same problem where the outer shade blocks the majority of the light.

The only limitation is that it has to be modern or MCM style. The house is a true MCM and we try to stay true to that style. Love to hear your suggestions and thoughts!
