I agree. The new antique white is beautiful. Another option for an island color would be gray. So popular and if done in the same traditional style, will really add an old world look and feel to the design.

The new cabinets are beautiful!! Really does brighten up the space.I would have to agree with adding an island. In my opinion, I would go with a (Light Gray) Cabinet for contrast but also blending well with the existing selections.

Actually, we are island shopping! More pics to follow once we decide. Any suggestions on a narrow island? Having hard time finding one that isn't too wide.

Did you move the stove over to gain a wider cabinet between the stove and fridge?

    Yes

What are the cabinet dims on either side of the stove? Now an 18" on left and maybe a lazy susan with 9" doors on right? I'm considering remodeling to a similar layout. Yours look great. Love your new tiled floor too!

    Looks very nice!!

The backsplash is, IMHO, way too busy with the granite you have. I would not add a contrasting island. Better to decrease the busy-ness with a same color island and top.

Could you add door finishes to the end of the cabinets by the back door for a more finished look?

Is there a wall where the desk area was? If so, you may not have enough room for an island. You need a minimum of 42" around an island to be able to move. You could make it a kitchen cabinet "hutch" and help decrease some of the clutter on the countertops.
