My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Do pergolas serve any function or just nice to look at? Just curious!

    If you grow climbing plants on them (like a grape arbor), they provide nice shade. You can also weave fabric through the beams to add color and shade.

      These patio structures are mostly cosmetic. They give the allusion of a room by helping define a semi-confined/intimate sitting area.

      I plan on adding angeled solar panels to add shade and accent to my deck. At the same time supplementing my electricity needs and reducing my carbon footprint.
