I bought a "rat zapper" at walmart on line and baited it with peanut butter....it works very well!

Last year squirrels ate at least 50 of my calendula plants. I was furious. I asked my son for his pellet gun and he wouldn't give it to me - I was ready to knock them all out of the trees. So I looked it up and made a cayenne pepper garlic stew and let it cool down and sprayed it on the plants. THAT DID IT. You could hear them up there crying in the trees. I told my son well this is your fault -I could have just knocked them down dead in less than a minute but you wanted them to suffer. It's on you. Now we have a family of owls living here and suddenly all the squirrels have disappeared. Little varmints, they brought that on themselves. It's basically 4 cloves of garlic smashed up with 2 TB cayenne pepper and a tsp of dish soap. The issue is getting it to go through the sprayer. the cayenne gets stuck and I drained it through a coffee filter and then a napkin and it still got stuck. But enough of it got on there and by by squirrels.
