Connie, where are you located and what method of gardening do you use. Inground, container, raised beds, soil composition, etc. Additional pics of the damage in place would also be helpful.

I'm in south Texas growing in a raised bed. I don't have anymore pictures there is no other damage. Just taking plants down and I find them a few feet away. I'm new to gardening so my soil was all organic I bought with some compost mixed in as well. I'll get more pics later on for you.

When does this occur? During the night? During the day? Cutworms will cut the plant stems but do not move the plants around the garden. Rabbits and Groundhogs (Woodchucks) eat the plants but do not usually move them around the garden. Crows are known to uproot plants and sometimes drop them a few feet away.
