Sliding tub doors have a long towel bar/handle. An over the door towel bar.

We use the extra heavy duty Command hooks on the door to hang two towels.

Thanks all! I would do the over the door option if the bars stick out enough to allow air to circulate around the towels. The BedBB one looks interesting! The bars on the shower door will be used for the bath mat and just one towel.

Could you mount a towel bar on the back of the door? I now there are 2 rod ones but not sure about 3. Do you have any floor space? We have one that is floor standing and holds 3 towels. It fits under the window next to the tub/shower. It isn't very big.

We put two hooks inside our master closet, that have two forks. I too, like to use my towel several times before washing.

I bought a vintage coat rack for DD2 to use in DGS bathroom. It has since moved to the MBath and he has a painted turquoise coat rack now. I plan to do this if/when we move instead of all bars. We had hooks at our last house and I find towels do not dry as fast in our climate. Using coat racks, you can spread the towel out over two hooks to dry. While you said there isn't much floor space in your bathroom, maybe room for this idea.

We reuse our towels 5-6 days between launderings. Years ago, we purchased an over-the-door hook setup (from Target, I think), similar to this, but with hooks slightly farther apart:

This is preferable to the bar version as hooked towels aren't overlapping each other and can dry more quickly. Our bathroom is also well ventilated, with the exhaust fan running not only during showers, but set on timer to run 30 to 60 minutes afterward.

Very clever, Allison. Don't the wet towels affect the finish? Like you, I'm in an area where towels on hooks don't dry well.

Towels on hooks don't dry well, but that's still what I use because I would spend my life refolding messy towels on towel bars LOL.

Neither the stained or painted coat rack finishes have been bothered by hanging wet towels. Hooks look the same too and no rust on towels.
