Not Wonderful but looks wonderful after only several weeks out of the crawl space.

This is just the humble wild species (grown from J.L. Hudson seeds) that is good enough for us because we care only about the ornamental value. It starts budding in the dark in February, at which point it is moved outside or to the house.

In contrast, his planted-out sibling (since 2014) is barely starting to grow new stems from the roots.

A friend of mine ( in charlotte) has left "Wonderful" in pots and outside.... it greened up pretty good!!

How long does it take a rooted cutting to start growing. I planted one outside about 2 years ago and it is still so small, but thankfully it does look like it has leaf buds

My little plant which is in the ground and has been for about 2 years- has leaves now. I live about 30 miles east of Charlotte. I hope yours show some signs soon

Cindip, ( or anyone else too!! ) can you tell me how you rooted your pomegranate cutting, like what size was the cutting, woody or soft, what time of the year etc... and how long did it take to root?

Is it a good time now? to start rooting cuttings?

Someone gave me the one that I have. I am not sure when to root a cutting. I would try one now- it couldn't hurt to try
