We are removing carpet in basement and replacing with tile. What are the common ways people finish the edge where it meets the wall? E.g. Baseboard, shoe, wood or tile, etc. I'd like to explore all options and discuss pros and cons. The floor tile is taupe colored 12x24 in offset subway pattern. Thin (modern) grout line. The walls will be neutral as well. There are white cabinets at one end of the room, and woodwork is white. Water is not an issue as there is no bathroom on lower level. Thanks!
