Thank you for responding! We are doing everything from scratch, new furniture, kitchen cabinets, backsplash etc. I'm planning on white kitchen cabinets and stellar snow countertop. Haven't decided on backsplash. I'm going to post pictures of the gutted space.
I really want to make sure I select the right color that will compliment undecided furniture, etc.

Hi

Neutrals will allow you to select any type of furnishings.... i like to start with an anchor piece that you love like a rug!!! then go from there. Pick a color out of the rug and use that.

If you don't want to do that then, get several paint colors and try them in different spots in your rooms.

If you are unsure you always have the option of calling in a designer for a paint color consultation. Those are very reasonable and end up saving a lot of time and money in the long run.

Best of luck --- the floors are very pretty!

Using the Sherwin Williams Colorsnap tool I came up with these colors based on your flooring. They are Accessible Beige and Analytical Gray.

Here's what Sherwin Williams "sees" in this photo on my monitor. Left column are primary colors and right are the secondary ones. As you can detect, selecting colors via computer is not accurate. Take a flooring sample to the SW store and let them help you pick out a few sample colors you like with it. Paint 12-15" squares of each color on separate big white poster boards. Move them around in the spaces you're painting for a few days in different weather and lighting conditions to pick the best one for your home. Often you can find one color and then work through the other shades on its color strip, pulling them through your home. Use deep shades in naturally well lighted spaces, medium tones in average light rooms, lightest tints in hallways, closets, bathrooms and windowless areas. You can cut the lightest tint with 50% white and use it on the ceiling.

Thank you soo much for the input! I will take your suggestions!

I LOVE the jasper stone color from the sample chart decoenthusiaste posted. As awesome as gray, beige, and greige are, I think they might be too similar in color to your floor
