The morning was cool and gloomy, perfect for pictures.

Betty Boop

I've lost track of some of the names but have this one notated as "Brandy?"

The buds look goldish lose that color when they open.

Julia Child is doing tricks with conjoined twin blooms.

Burgundy Iceberg. They are darker when open.

The unknown rose was posted on Name that Rose.

Someone asked about the possibility that it could be Lady Jane Grey. Color is similar, but LJG has more petals, I believe.

Garden nut, Betty Boop has been a most satisfactory bush for me. The one in the pic is in it's third year, definitely its best so far.

Forgive me for sharing one more picture. It's just such a great moment with the roses, they are moist enough and the temps don't fry the blooms. This is Dark Lady. I nearly threw it away years ago, but posters here told me to give it time. Glad I did!

Beautiful roses. Love Julias twin neck. Its so neat when roses do something different like that. Post another pic when they open. Your maybe Brandy looks beautiful. Take care, Judy

Thanks, Judy. I'll try to remember to take a picture of the two Julia blooms. Not sure what will happen! (It sure is a nice bush.)

Thank you all for your nice words. Irisgal, I'm not positive that's Brandy.

Just to follow up, here's a shot of the Julia Child opening up. Seems like both twins are blossoming just fine! By the way, in the background is the Burgundy Iceberg when it opens up, so much darker and maroon than the bud.

You have some nice and interesting pictures. I also do not believe that the one you have as Brandy is actually Brandy, the version introduced by Swim & Christensen/Armstrong Nursery. It is not that pink. Here are some identifiers from my Modern Roses 12 for you to check. Buds - long, pointed. Flower color - deep apricot. Flower size - about 5 inches. Petal count - 25-30. Prickles (thorns, as we sometimes erroneously call them) - straight. Also, if you look in the Help Me Find Roses pictures, none of the Brandy pictures as we know it are this color. Hopefully this will help a bit.

Carol... So happy I made you happy! Looks like we are at opposite ends of the Weather spectrum.

I agree, bustopher, it's too pink to be Brandy. Maybe I'll get a variety of shots and post over on name that Rose, just out of curiosity.

Beautiful blooms! I love the twin JULIAs! And that peachy colored rose is gorgeous. I can tell you it isn't BRANDY tho. I wonder what it is. Looks so familiar, but I can't figure out what it is..
