Solid surface for shower redo

We will be replacing the master shower in our house. Does anyone have experience or opinion about solid surface shower walls? They seem to have an advantage of easy cleaning but I am concerned that they may look 'cheap" and may bring down resale value. Is this true or will potential buyers like the easy clean feature too? Thank you.

We have solid surface in our master bath. Personally, I don't think it looks cheap - but then it's my house ;-) We do have the OLD faux marble in the guest bath and you can definitely tell the difference. I can't speak to the resale value issue.

It doesn't have the 'bling' factor that a lot of tiled surrounds do. I don't really care. I love that it is easy to maintain and easy to clean. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

At the time we did ours, I don't even think quartz companies were offering this option and I believe most are now. I think you get a bit more of a stone look with quartz. You may want to compare the two looks -- and the two prices!
