Or, keeping the bunk beds, it looks like there is room on the opposite wall for two small desks or one long table. I'd love to go custom and hang a food wide shelf along the wall at desk height.

Another idea is a round dining table in the corner by the window that can seat both kids for homework and will be fun for cards, board games and puzzles.

Ikeas is a good idea for the desks and the shelves. They have one that is quite compact and can fold up when not in use. it also has a shelf on top. I think it comes in a few colours.

It's hard to tell without measurements, but maybe this can work -

How about one desk under window to the let of the AC, then a bookcase or two on the left wall. Something quite shallow, to match the column. Then a second desk.

My kids never used their desks for anything except accumulating junk. They preferred their beds or the floor for homework. Large floor pillows were a hit. One kid had a papasan chair that she loved. The cat loved it too. I suspect laptops and tablets are making desks less popular. But if you really want desks, Ikea is a good place to start.

I know you didn't ask about lighting, but that really has an impact for the atmosphere and pleasant quality of the room (as well as proper use of it). A table lamp or wall sconce at chest height in each corner is best.
