Bathroom redo on a tight budget.

What changes would you make? I need to keep the cabinets (I can change color), countertops and floors. So that leaves what? I'm at a loss for the color of the cabinets & wall color. I plan on taking down the builder grade mirrors. How can I really change the bathroom without breaking the bank? I tend to have a traditional style but want a spa, relaxing but elegant bathroom.

It's really kind of hard to comment using these photos, but here are some ideas to give you thought.
Looking at your idea book, you tend to favor dark cabinets in the bath. Why not paint the cabinet a dark grey, and make the walls a light silver grey? Or even a light blue grey? I am guessing that is the color of the tile, so that is why I am suggesting that. As you are seeking a spa-like feel, I would choose soft subtle colors. Choose some handles and pulls for the cabinet and yes, I think a nice new framed mirror might be something to splurge on.

I would Leave the floor. Redesign the shower with lighter tones. I would put in glass tiles that complement the slate.
