Timber style truss ??

Will this look ok if I add it to the front of the house, on the roof. I am trying to add height to the roofline. OR any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I do not think it would add to the aesthetic of the house. To me, it would look like an after thought.

Otherwise, I'm stumped. Perhaps some sort of vertically oriented decoration or tree? I was reading that there are things you can do with paint, but not sure you want to get into that ball of wax with a brick house.

I don't think it would add, more likely to take away. What about a bigger, non-round window on the (my left) side?

First of all, beautifully manicured landscape and gorgeous wooded property. The blank area on the garage wall is probably what needs to be improved for visual balance. A fairly cost effective large trellis (Walpole Woodworkers have a fabulous variety) could be added there and trained with a vine that thrives in your area. It should be large with strong visual lines for impact. You might also balance the small garage window with a "dummy" window on the other blank side and center a trellis between them. The "dummy" window would probably require three or four shutter panels to duplicate the size of the existing window. Once hung and painted, they would read as another window.
