in my.opinion, the floor'space undertones are too yellow for the brick. I'm not a fan of.the wall color. I think that it is too cool for the look that you are trying to achieve.

Thank for your reply actually the color is the one thing I actually really love - maybe I need to change or re consider the brick fireplace. The overall look im going for is a super light and airy farm house kinds of like these

I think it works but your batch of bricks is darker than what you show in the photos. You may need to whitewash them to get the right balance.

well, the brick is the problem if you want a cooler look.

you may want to look at a grey brick. the brick will still be warm if they are white washed. also, I would try to find a brick face tile that did not require a special treatment. in my area, I found it a challenge to find a decent split brick tile that I liked and there were few options that were on the "cool" side. that is, grey.

I reallllly like it.. Your bricks are a little darker than those in the photos but I don't think it will hurt your color palette. I would tell whoevers doing your brick to not worrying about being too tidy with the grout and go for it.

Here's the brick completely done- it will have a big white mantle on it but go all the way up the vault- I relize it's darker then my inspiration picture but just as loon as it won't look bad with the Benjamin Moore grey owl and floors? What do you honk will it be cool or should I go a in different direction ? I am kind of going for that farmhouse rustic industrial feel. But also light and airy but this is just a small thing compared to the big room it's in.

But I guess if it's just too dark when all is said and done I could always do just a light white wash- right?

I like it. One word of caution is to reconsider white cabinetry on each side of the fireplace. That is not the best choice, gray owl is a great choice. If you are hellbent on white cabinetry perhaps you should paint the fireplace brick to match the wall...OR...make your cabinetry out of wood that is stained in a bleached light tone. Enjoy the process and feel free to explore and try things, this is all about you and not what strangers who will never come to your home think. Have fun!

Thank you, I'm actually Not doing the cabinets - there will be two big windows on each side so we are doing window seats. I was going to do white window seats though with possibly a stained wood top, out of curiosity, why do you say no to the white? because of looks or another reason?
