Quartzite Counter Top for style and function

Wife wanted the beauty of long-veined marble and was willing to put up with the frequent staining and etching risk associated with marble when we discovered this quartizite slab mistakenly placed in the marble section of a stone supplier. It is harder than granite, with the long-veining beauty of expensive marble. The link below (oopy and paste) is a photo of Bianco White, timeless beauty and superior function; we love it!

That link was to quartz, not quartzite.

Quartz is a man-made engineered product (Cambria, Silestone & many other brands). Quartzite is a naturally occuring rock, mined, like granite & marble. Good to hear you found a countertop that you both love.

No problem. We do have quartz...not quartzite. I have not seen the marbled veining of this product and pattern on quartzite. Actually, we thought it was marble, but could not be happier with both the look plus hardness of the quartz product.
