I would remove the magnifying glass (put it in the drawer of the console). You can't really tell what it is when viewing the photos.

I would put a smaller item next to the globe (maybe a small stack of books or a vase).

I agree you need something on the wall, maybe some wall art with some gray in it and another color or two.

I would suggest you find a different spot for the globe. It's just too large for that cute table, and subject-wise would make more sense in your family room or study, along with the magnifier. Here is my entrance, to give you some idea; of course, you'd want a mirror etc. that reflects the style of your home and that table. Good luck!

Thank you all! I agree the globe and magnifying glass definitely need to go! Things look totally different in pictures..lol. I really like the idea of hooks and a bench on the other wall. The only thing is that the hall closet is right next to that other wall, so not sure if that's too much.

We just got the main floor painted so not too much of anything yet. I'm moving the accessories now! lol

Angela, using hooks/bench would depend on whether or not you want this entry to be more or less formal! I'd also put a larger rug there and make that table space the focal point. I'm not sure, upon studying your pictures, that you need anything on the other side of that door. I'd get a larger rectangular rug first and live with that for awhile before adding more.

The globe is now gone :-) I had a Bible in the drawer so i have puled that out for now. I will be on the hunt for more suitable options for this space. I think I will be ordering a rug this morning :-) Any ideas on a rug or type of mirror in this space?

For above the table you could do 3 mirrors one above each other. You would have to measure to see what size mirrors fit the space. Here is an idea showing two mirrors. Depending on size of mirrors you would need one long narrow, two medium or three smaller.
