Unless the finish is exactly the same, you may not be able to get away with the difference in the detail. Even then it really is up to you if the look will bother you.

Since the finish is the exact same....I think you should get the one you like.

It isn't a question of it being a faux pas because mixing looks can work if executed properly. In the end I think it would not be a good idea to mix because the angles and beveled edges of the spout clash with the roundness of the control. If you found one that has the same finish, a round plate but a squared off tapered handle then that may work. Again it is up to the viewer to see if there is a true unifying element. The eye will always want to do that: we organize images by making visual relationships.

Don't mix these fixtures. It will always appear to be a mistake.

Thanks. This is the faucet that goes with it, as part of the Degas collection. Not crazy about it. I could switch it out for something standard. I can't decide whether I like this, or really, really dislike it!
