you really need curtains and area rug first ....add some wall art or large picture over couch will be great ...take out some colors from wall art to match your throw pillows.

With white, grey, and medium wood tones you can use almost any color that appeals to you. As others have said, find an area rug first, and pull a color you like from there. Pillows are art are easy to find once you've started with the rug. Personally, I think greens would freshen your room.

Fortunately your sofas and table are neutral. So a lot will go with them. If you are able perhaps you can paint your walls a very soft, light, pretty gray. Then paint the wood trim around your door and window sill a nice white. What is your favorite bright color? Green ( bright green like grass) , yellow, orange, red can all compliment your furniture. Find an area rug that has great color in it, then find pillows to match. Hang long curtains on either side of your window (perhaps white with your color running through). I like Marshalls Homegoods. They have great art work, curtains, rugs, etc. everything in one store. And they are very reasonable. Lastly, consider painting your front door a different color. (I.e green and white patterned rug and accents with a blue door). Lastly, pull in the accent color or colors you choose into your kitchen towels. Best of luck.

I would invest in a new cabinet for TV (and maybe a larger TV) to fill that wall.

Move the corner unit to corner between the sofas and get some panels for the windows. (curtains to the floor) and an area rug.

You have neutral sofas so pick an accent color you like for the curtains, pillows and rug. I did blue, but you could use orange, turquoise or do the curtains and rug in black and white and use accent color for art and pillows.

I think you may consider changing the light fixture (ceiling fan). Add a light fixture that has a pop of color and will pull the room together (green, red or orange) or your favourite color.

Good point about the fan. If you need it to circulate the air, please turn it off when eating. If you don't use it, then replace with a nice chandelier over the table.

You are indeed lucky that you have a neutral palette to start out with. It will be easier to buy a rug, pillows, art, and so forth. I agree with what everyone else has been saying about pulling colors from a rug that you love. Here are a few ideas from Houzz:

I think a pair of upholstered or solid color Parson's type small side chairs in an accent color would be a good buy first. They can go on either side of TV unit onn an everyday basis and be used as extra seating or dining chairs when you have extra guests in home. These chairs could then become your accent color and you can relate everything else you add to the room to them....try Marshalls, tjmaxx, etc for the chairs. Pier 1 etc.

Really fun and funky Gold side chairs. But you get the idea? Actually the whole wall with art and sconces looks pretty well designed and can be adaptet to your room if you wished.

You have a great space and a blank palette. Look on Houzz or Pinterest and find some inspiration rooms you like. You can use blues, greens, corals, raspberry and reds with gray.

Pick out colors you like. Once you decide on your favorite color palette then get a throw and art and accessories using those colors.
