It's a nice rug, but I don't like the two colors together. But wait... Why is it better not to have a rug in a small space? I guess we're all entitled to our opinion, but come on!

I read that rugs stop the eye from travelling through your space. Same principle as buying leggier furniture. Or too much "stuff" in a small space makes it seem busy etc. I really only listen to the "expert advice" that works for me anyway

@sewismore: My cousin and I both ordered rugs from Joss and Main at the same time. She lives in the US and I live in Canada so to save on the shipping, I sent it to her and picked it up. She bought the first rug that you posted, I bought the jute rug (which worked very well in the old house) But her husband hated the rug that she bought. Maybe we should swap?

No. It clashes with the flooring. It's not an ugly rug, just wrong in this area.

The rug is too large. You only need a dining rug to be 4' wider and longer than the table, but it shouldn't run into walls or furniture on the walls. Have you tried it in the living area or bedroom?

Deco...I know it's too big. It's back in the basement for now but am considering trying it in the bedroom. That's a new dilemma. Thanks.
