Take the bushes away from the entry , run a walkway to the door .

It's hard to see the actual color of the house because of the glare. Regardless, I would paint it a mid tone color, and be sure to paint the garage doors the same color as the house. It will all make a world of difference.

YOU HAVE A VERY NICE HOUSE. YES. . . replace the large shrubs with smaller ones. I like the color of your house and garage doors. I would play up the accent trims that are above your garage, around your windows and doors like a taupe from your brick or a light/medium sage. Behr makes a paint color called Casting Shadows. With the picture, it is difficult to say it would work, but may give you a jumping off point. Also, go with darker lamps with some character that will show up. I like your flower pots for a soft touch.

Thank you crossbreeze1. Helpful info. I'll get a sample of the Behr paint. The main body of house is an oatmeal color. Posting a photo of the stone colors. I can see a big ceramic pot off the walkway by door. Needs color. What color would you pick for pot and flowers?

I agree that the scrubs are hiding your entrance. Remove them and plant ground cover plants that have a bit of color. Change out the pots to a maroon or brick red and paint the door the same. If room another big pot of flowers by doorway.

You probably live in CA, I would guess Valencia? Which means HOA, so you will do nothing, and like it.....

You can spruce up your garage doors to make them not so boring. Here is what I'm talking about:

You do not have to replace your garage doors for this look! Go to Home Depot and for under $20.00, they sell carriage door accents that you can put on your garage. My husband and I are going to do this instead of paying hundreds more for a carriage house style garage door.

The guidelines state stucco has to be tan or gray and tone on tone trim. The house color is in good shape but needs definition. Garage doors preferred to be same as body color but can be painted same as trim. Wood like metal or wood are a maybe if approved. I think the trim color is too light. This association is going to love me.....I'm submitting landscaping plans too

Definitely get rid of the bushes, which hide your front entrance. Instead of the bushes put in a walkway of either flagstone or pavers so it is obvious where the door is. Since you may not be able to replace the garage doors due to $ or HOA, accent that are with tall angular planters rather than round terra cotta ones. Something like these. Add a color plant in each one for some pop of color. (Plant depends on sun exposure)

They are on Williams Sonoma. I'd go with something darker like the darkest gray in y our stone or the darker taupe in your door.

Along your walkway, instead of grasses that blend in with the house, highlight the front entry walkway with colorful flowers. Don't forget to get rid of those bushes that block the walkway. Maybe even some wood chips with ground cover by the walkways. You've got a great looking house!

Add a chair/ceramic pot on the porch in a bright color - maybe blue or copper that will go to a lovely verdigris with age?

Painting the garage doors (even stencilling on "windows"), matching them to trim color, and adding the "carriage door" hardware mentioned earlier, and maybe some wrought iron looking light fixtures would do wonders. And yes, the shrubs are overwhelming/ obscuring your entryway. Perhaps a low raised bed to accentuate the walkway would help. Definitely add colorful pots and flowers. There are apps that let you virtually "try out" colors on your walls, maybe try one of them and see what color combos you like best. Try uploading your pic and searching "images like this" to see similar styles..

If the archways are painted brick or stone, think about "un painting" them or if that's too expensive, repaint to accentuate them. They are a great feature. Play them up!

Try printing out that pic and taking it with you. That way, you'll have a visual to show the paint person or decorator at Home Depot, or other places.

Could also print it out in black and white, to see, minus the color, what stands out or not. Sometimes this can be revealing in surprising ways...

In any case, don't be afraid to ask for help and if you see a color combo you like, to snap a pic and use it as a guide.

You'll never be able to hide those garage doors, so I agree with the people who suggested that you make those doors look as nice as possible, either by replacing them or sprucing them up with the hardware.

Access Garage Doors nailed it. If you have to have prominent garage doors, then invest in pretty ones. Surely your HOA wouldn't disapprove of those house-enhancing doors. They went from eyesore to asset.
