Long living room still needs help!

After taking a break and making some changes after the original post (https://www.houzz.com/discussions/nothing-is-working-quite-right-long-living-room-needs-help-dsvw-vd~3746271), I have moved almost everything except the main seating pieces out of my living room. I also recently painted the walls grey (Valspar stone age).

So now the room feels bare and ready for some enhancements. I have the main seating pieces (sofa and chairs), coffee table and tv stand. I'd like to keep two seating areas in the living room - one for the TV area, another focused on the fireplace. I have three black bookcases (two that are 72 x 34 and one 84 x 20) and the shorter bookcase shown in the photos.

What do I put back, what do I leave out, what else do I move out? Where does this room evolve to from here?

Fabulous colours. I would live large in the space instead of breaking it up into two as you have. We have a 29 by 17 space as well so I appreciate your dilemma.

I would move the coloured sofa by the window, out from it a bit, move the tv over to the partial wall across from it, then place the coloured chair where the tv is and then place the two blue chairs around the fireplace. Unless you need the seating I would lose the two white chairs. I might put the bookcases where the tv is and create a small reading area.

With this larger area all seating can enjoy the tv and the fireplace at the same time. If you keep the two areas, I would just keep the two blue chairs and perhaps a longer sofa table behind the coloured couch, as you have it laid out now seems too crowded to me and your lovely large window is chopped in half instead of defining it as a feature.
