The Great British Garden Revival was fantastic. I loved Ground Force back in the day, and anything with Charlie Dimmock is always fun.

The hubby is British and we have access to BBC. I always feel like their gardening shows are better, particularly now that I live in a similar climate. I'll have to look up Penelope Hobhouse - I'm not familiar with her.

On YT, I've been watching videos by "Plum Orchard". They are part of the Great British Garden Revival thread. Great videos. My favorite is the one on roses/climbers and cottage gardening.

I wasn't aware that Penelope Hobhouse has a gardening show. Her book titled, "On Gardening" is one of my favorites. I had a chance to meet her and have her sign my copy of the book when she appeared at the Chicago Botanic Garden for a garden talk.

Bella rosa those are the ones I've been watching too, very good.

Freaky, I'm having the same experience as you. Must be the long winters and spring melt. I enjoyed watching the Great Chelsea Garden Challenge and The Big Allotment Challenge.

Watch for Recreating Eden - oddly enough Canadian, but filmed round the world. I've seen it lately on Vision, but no religious content in it - inspirational though. Anything Alan Titchmarsh - is he still filming. Again, not British but there is OK Gardening - from Oklahoma. Lots of how to.

You are right about HGTV in Canada - pathetic. They are not even showing the over-the-top US shows. There were also two series by Monte Don - one in France and one in Italy - great eye-candy. I think they're waiting for Summer to show the gardening programs - idiots.

i like recreating eden too. but not exactly the same. I like the old fashioned start to finish gardening. So I'm a fan of Alan Titchmarsh's shows.
