Thanks! I appreciate what you're saying! It does make sense to have stainless steel that you can mix and match appliances. My problem is, our house faces south, and we have many windows with beautiful views. We have a corner window in the kitchen over the sink and the sun set view is gorgeous. However, I have to wear sunglasses to cook many nights! If I had stainless steel, I would be blinded! That's why in looking at darker appliances.

Get solar shades you can still see the sunset but it wont blind you they are very afflordable and work very well for windows facing S or W

I love my slate refrigerator because it does not show fingerprints. The handles are stainless and would probably look nice with other stainless appliances. I have recently purchased a new home and am renovating the kitchen - trying to make decisions about appliances. I have three young children and don't want to see fingerprints on appliances all day....

For the record I still love my slate appliances. I ended up getting a stainless oven/range that looks lovely with the slate and other stainless trim, and I only have a few handles to clean rather than fingerprints everywhere.

I did go with slate and I love it! Very happy with my choice! 4 years later, and I still get compliments on them!
