Lazy Boy has one of the most comfortable sleeper sofas out right now. My daughter and I went furniture shopping last week and found a sleeper sofa that has air in the mattress so that you can sleep comfortably. It's much thicker and nicer than any other sleeper sofa I have ever seen.

Futons are horrible. Unless you are living in a frat house with large kegs of beer to make sleeping on them tolerable, take a pass.

Your problem is the depth. Stanton makes some compact sleeper sofas, but they are all deeper than 30 inches. Ikea has a few, but they don't look very comfortable to me. Could it be 35 inches deep?
