Apron Front Look

I love your work! Were there any issues for the fabricator to cut and mount the countertop material to create the look of an apron front? Was anything special required by the cabinet maker? Thank you.

These cabinets are custom made. JGKB produces detailed CAD drawings to the manufacturer who constructs the cabinets to our specifications. The counter top fabricator went to the home and measured for the counters and the sink once installation of the cabinets was complete and level. The sink front was installed before the countertops and backsplash. The homeowners liked the look of a farm sink, but were wary of the damage drips might cause to the sink cabinet. Our solution was what you see here--a mock apron sink that blends beautifully with the rest of the kitchen.

Do you know the color that was used on these custom cabinets? Thankyou

I'm sorry, this was a color that the cabinets manufacturer offered so I can't give you a color and number from a paint manufacturer.

The cabinet just needed a solid top in order to hold the weight of the stone apron. It's not the difficult for our fabricator to make but we use a very good fabricator!

While I like the look of the faux apron-front sink, I use my under-sink cabinet every day and would not give it up even if the half-height doors could open.
