Well, that's OK, I bought some seeds from that seller from Malta, of course they haven't come yet and he has some interesting crosses but I thought I'd just try one just incase it's a flop...☺☺

This listing shows the leaves which look OK so this just might be where the others originated from. Did you only buy one? You should get two so the bulb won't be lonely in the pot....☺☺

Oh yeah...I bought one right away and it does look a lot like equestre maybe just a little darker (photo shopped?) What ever it is, it looks interesting and maybe for future crossing?

It sure looks like the mysterious plant that is often called Hippeastrum roseum. It is difficult to find information about whether it is an old hybrid or a form of H. punecium (which is the correct name for H. equestre). Royal Colors was selling it a couple of years ago, but the bulbs were extremely small, and mine are only now producing scapes for the first time.

I thought the same thing but I dare not put my foot in my mouth again...I'm beginning to get athlete's tongue :-)))

I just got Tomato Soup and a bonus Giraffe (WOOO HOOO) in the mail this past Thursday and I'll be potting them up today.
