Can I move my spirea?

10 years ago

Last week I purchased and planted 2 variety of spirea: magic carpet and goldmound. Now that they're getting some color I realized I planted the goldmound upfront. Problem is that it is going to grow to about twice the size as the magic carpet. Can I flip them? Am I going to kill these poor babies? I'm new to this so be gentle....
