How do I stop flipper solicitations?

Home flipper solicitations are coming through USPS. I want to get off of these mailing lists. They are ANNOYING and high pressure and some are insulting. I would not expect these kinds of solicitations from a professional realtor. They are coming from other organizations.

How can I prohibit these contacts?

IIRC, realtors have a code of conduct when they solicit.

I have been in this home for decades and have NEVER listed it.

USPS...Jane, then do you mean junk mail? Just toss it unopened and don't give it another thought. If you respond and spend your time trying to be removed from their mailing list, you will have given them what they want - a response. None at all - and eventually the mail will quit. Don't take it personally, they don't know you or know even if their mail is being read.

Unfortunately junk mail is something we all deal with - in our mailboxes, our computer inboxes. It can't insult or offend you if you don't read it. You can be annoyed, but please, only very briefly. Life is too short ;-)

If you feel the need to spend time on it you can ask them to remove you from their mailing lists. I'd just toss them.

Some of it feels scammy and suspicious.

They are postcards. The wording is personal, a little stalkerish. No company names, no contact name, just a phone number.

I don't open envelopes that are solicitations.

Newsflash--a LOT of your personal information is available via public records, etc. There are companies that exist to gather and sell that information. A company buys it, tosses it into a database and can produce postcards that seem personal, etc.

Several years ago I worked with a company that gathered and sold all types of business intelligence in numerous industries. I was amazed at the kinds of information that is easily available, for a price, about me.

Just toss them. Your name and address is in a public record, and they are trolling for clients.

Put it back in your mailbox with an arrow and "Return to Sender" and below your address also write REMOVE FROM MAILING LIST

Anything that comes to our house without a first class stamp on it goes straight to the trash. Not worth a second thought. You can ask the Direct Marketing Assoc to put you on a "do not mail" list, but it won't help much. You'll just irritate your postman by trying to return bulk mail, they don't do it.
