Mirage is "overpriced" because it's made nearly perfectly. I have personally toured their hardwood mill. The precise cuts in the milling process and attention to detail is incredible. Their finish is comparably the best in the industry as well. To sand and refinish- is definitely tough because their finish is that durable. All of their products will last your lifetime. It's a wonderful investment if you're ready. And no, that price is not entirely outrageous for that style but you could probably be able to find it lower- price compare with a few dealers in your area. Most importantly, get an installer who knows what they're doing with this product. Their walnut is gorgeous though, we install it over and over and it has been great!!

I have found that although mirage aluminum oxide is tough yes it's not the toughest. From a refinishers perspective it goes to Appalachian all day long. Several Canadian milks have very hi quality flooring not just mirage. LAUZON,groleau,perverco,logs end,etc. What mirage sells for $10.50 appy sells for $7. Shop around and definately hire a well versed pro!
