Are they a good container tomato?

It is a big plant, indeterminate avg. 8+ feet by 4' wide. Depends on the size of container how well it would do. It would need a BIG one.

I have 4- 20 or so gal buckets.. And 5 gal lol. We will either do in beds or will they do ok in 20 gal buckets. I really don't know size but they look to be the size a tree might have come in. Pretty big

It should do fine in 20 gallons with good support. Just be sure to use a good soil-less potting mix and feed all containers plants regularly every 7-10 days. Container gardening is a different animal from growing in ground and needs more attention to feeding and watering.

Personally I won't grow any tomato plant in only 5 gallons unless it is a dwarf variety. Takes too much work and attention to be even moderately successful so 10 gallons is my minimum size container. But some folks can get away with doing it in 5 gallons if their expectations aren't too high.
