Sprouting Japanese Iris seeds

This spring I found a seed head still attached to my Japanese Iris, lost the name of this one, hope someone can help with that. I put the seeds in a paper towel in a baggie and kept it moist above the hot air register from the wood stove. Finally quite a while later there are 4 sprouted seeds. Going to put them in soil today. Second photo is the iris the seeds came from.
