Our vote: MINDFUL GREY!

It's a very popular color as it achieves that warm grey shade that most are looking to find.

We just used gray owl from Benjamin Moore. It is a blue gray in a dark room light gray in a sunny room. Love it!

Thanks all! We went with Mindful Gray in the main living areas and gray owl in the bedrooms. Gray owl is very pretty but definitely casts a slighhhht blue tint. The mindful gray is a very true gray and makes the room feel warm without being an overbearing color ( since it is used in the majority of the main floor of a split). I have already received so many compliments so thank you all for your help. I agree that the repose gray would have also been a nice lighter gray option however I really wanted to reflect a true gray color and couldn't risk it! See below!

Painting bedrooms and want a gray that is almost white.
I have tried a few. Do not want on blue side, some others are coming out too muddy.

I have Mindful Gray in my bedroom, and Repose Gray in the bathrooms. I'm kicking myself for using Mindful Gray in the bedroom, it looks too dark after the sun passes. Repose Gray looks fantastic regardless of lighting, and doesn't have any yellow.

Yesterday I painted my LR Repose Gray and though it is a lovely color it is COOL and BLUE. Eastern and mostly southern facing, plenty of light. Have Colonnade Gray in kitchen, lovely, and will likely paint over the Repose Gray with Mindful Gray or Colonnade tomorrow as I am seeking WARM, not cool. Colonnade and Mindful are similar, both warmer. No more Repose Gray for my room- though great if you want bluenand decorate with cool toned furniture.

I've used Mindful Grey and Repose Grey and like them both. I also had the SW store split the difference and I LOVE "Mindful Repose"...not to light in bright sunlight or too dark at night!

Does anyone know about collonade gray SW? I am considering between Collonade, mindful, agreeable or modern gray for my bedroom? I have espresso furniture, the room is well lit and is large...I also need a coordinating bathroom color. Hurry, painter coming in 2 days

I just painted bedroom (I get a lot of natural light in the room) Edgecomb Gray BM full strength, and connecting master bathroom Sherwin Williams Silver Mist (wall color), Chelsea Gray (entry to Bathroom-satin finish), and cabinetry Simply White (vanities-satin finish; love the satin finish on vanities). I used BM Aura paint for wall....absolutely stunning combination of colors. The Edgecomb gray in the evening looks a tad yellow and muddy, but absolutely love this creamy gray color in the daytime; gives just enough warmth, not too dark, not too light:). I'm very happy!!!

Would repose gray be to light for the body of the house? I was thinking I would use eider gray for the trim. right now I have ben moore sandy hook gray and a variant for the trim but hate the green tones. This photo is lighter than it really is. Any ideas?

Help I'm building a house and need a Sherwin Williams grey paint that can go with warm and cool tones!!

I used SW Light French Gray, it goes well with natural wood tones, it is a medium depth gray; not too dark and looks great with white trim. It's a true gray without undertones. If you want a gray that is similar to BM revere pewter without the green undertone, colonnade gray by SW is a nice gray. I used edge comb gray by SW in my bedroom; it definitely pulls more creamy gray, not a true gray. Hope this helps. It took me 6 ms to choose my gray's hope you have quicker experience:)

I had my entire kitchen and front foyer painted in Top Sail which paired perfectly with Repose Gray. I used Repose Gray in the stairway and laundry room. I’ve used many grays and this one is my fave! Master bath in Eider White which looks great with the Repose Gray too, as it has a very slight under Gray tone feel. Main room ceiling painted in BM Kendal Gray which looks great with all the white mouldings.

chgoborn, I’d go with Repose in this bathroom. Mindful might be too dark. We have a powder room that sounds similar, I went with Mindful and I regret it now...even though I have Mindful throughout the rest of the house and love it

I imagine a space with no light would be too dark.

Help! I need a taupe-ish gray for the walls to go with this quartz countertop in master bathroom. Has a skylight so well lit all day. Flooring is a wood-like porcelain grays and some taupe. Want to stay clear of a cold gray but not too much brown. Shiplap behind the vanity will be either a white or light gray. The walls a little darker and the vanity the darkest. Trying to stay in the same "family"....So need 3 SW colors. ??

Hi Jeannie....we just finished the bathroom yesterday and I went with:
walls: sw worldly gray
cabinets and mirrors trim: amazing gray
shiplap vanity wall: shoji gray
All of them go great together. Not a big noticeable difference between the amazing and worldly but Im happy with the results. Grays can be difficult to choose. We painted master bedroom also worldly gray walls, shoji shiplap behind headboard. All croen molding white. I love your choices and flooring!

what great photos of your bathroom Lisa! so roomy and the colors turned out great. I'm 99% sure the quartz we chose are the same, except we will use as the countertop for the island. I think we will go with SW Repose Gray.

Responding to a much earlier question that has probably been decided by now - I am thinking of using repose grey on our exterior too - here is a picture, just worried its too light for our lake setting, does anyone else have a pic of a house exterior painted repose gray?

@jkd, we chose Repose Gray for our exterior and love it. Sorry, the photos I’m trying to post keep disappearing. However, your photo (I also have it) is a very good representation of how Repose Gray looks on the exterior. It does lighten up quite a bit which is what I wanted. These online photos are more good examples of how it looks IRL. Not sure but the white trim here might be SW Extra White.

Any suggestions for the front door (was thinking of staining it) or shutter colors (was thinking of using Dorian gray) - thank you so much!!!

Yes, the color consultant from SW suggested we use a crisp white with Repose Gray. The door and shutters in the photo you posted are Dorian Gray.

I also think a gray/blue could be really nice with Repose Gray. This interior photo shows Repose Gray on the walls, and the door is Ben Moore Brittania Blue. Nice but would need testing on the exterior.
