Never used ubuildit, and after a quick look on their website, I'm not really sure what they are selling. My husband and I built our own home. We did the plans, general, and most of the subcontractor work ourselves. You don't need to pay anyone to do that as long as your municipality is okay with it.

That's what I just can't get my head around. Is there more to it, or do you pay someone to provide you with contractors? Doesn't make much sense...

We have several friends that used ubuildit in Indiana and they save tons of money overall because of the discounts they were able to get. Like contractors pricing on building materials. Also they were able to get better subs because the subs knew who they were dealing with and wanted jobs in the future. We were actually going to use ubuildit ourself but the local owner has medical issues and is retiring.
