I love it as it is…..love the drama with the fire place, the rug and pillows bring in some pattern but an accent color is needed. How about a color on the short wall where the sun burst mirror is? a great orange would be fun and set off the brass nicely…..bounce some color back into the large space??

You can stop straight up from the stair rail or follow across the top and end there……i am still thinking just the mirror wall not the wall with signs….maybe even a shade of soft plum which is a hot new color….try big swatches on foam core board and tape them to the wall for a while. I like to live with ideas for a bit till one of the choices feels right. You will learn to feel your choices the more you believe in yourself…..no rules these day, but go for personality. Then pick up an art piece with the color in it for the art wall and maybe some pillows. It was the yellow of your sons truck that sparked the idea for me…..to propose an accent color…not that yellow though…lol…have fun!
