Photos of the exterior as well as the area will of course help your question. Not every house suits a specific scheme and there may be variations worth considering.

If you can upload a brighter lit shot there are online programs that different color schemes can be tried out. But a murky shot makes it tricky. BTW it's a funky little cottage - it'd be a shame to go too staid/safe with the color palette. Don't confuse that with endorsing OTT color, au contrair. But there may be some options worth considering so she gets a nice makeover.
