How to create a nice looking accent wall?

I would like to create a nice wall in my dining room, not sure how to do it. I am open to paint or wall paper. Any help would be appreciated. The furniture is all modern in this room. I would like to add window coverings as well

I love the modern look you've achieved so far. Can you remove the arch mouldings? I think you could add a lot of drama by removing them and putting a large mural on that wall. The whole wall would be the art.

Hi Roopa, your furniture is really lovely. The colours in your rug are wonderful so you could pick one to paint on the large wall, maybe the burnt orange, but remove the arched moulding. A large abstract piece of art on it would then look stunning. Good luck!

Great start!!! I agree you really must remove that unattractive arched molding. It looks very out of place. Then all you need to do is choose some fabulous art that you really love and your room will be fantastic.
(Somewhere down the line you might also consider painting the room white. I think it would suit the space more.)

A black modern sideboard on that far wall, with large-format art, would look great (after removing the arches)! Serena & Lily has some wonderful art!

That lamp is beautiful!! Does it provide nice light for the table?

A hanging console would look nice on that wall. I too would remove the arches and either put a picture grouping or apply a danish geometric wallpaper.

So Roopa, you have started four discussions and gotten lots of suggestions and not commented on any one of them. It's helpful to those who put effort into your dilemmas to let them know what you think.

Valerie Gorman ~ the lamp does not provide too much of light, its a soft glow which is perfect for this room.

I do plan to remove the arch moldings. I would like to cover that wall with wallpaper and then add a buffet table to this room. Should I do wallpaper in the entire room or just the wall?

I like the idea of "A hanging console" (eagledzines / Linda Mayo) and of adding three matching framed art pieces from Liz Duer Studio. Thank you so much guys!

That poor little light fixture looks lonely in this large room; lets get it a friend to play with!

OK it's good the arches are going away. They don't go with your modern decor. You can do wallpaper without artwork, or large artwork on painted walls. Check out my work for ideas here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ShoaGallery  Many sizes and colors to choose from. Some samples below for your dining room.

    Enjoy decorating!

What type of software program do some of you have to be able to insert objects into a photo someone has submitted for suggestions? Is it only for Designers?

Padaricia, this is part of the Houzz app on my smart phone. If you go to shop on house and pick a product you will see a little box that says insert in my room. It is easy to insert by if you snap shot the room first and then insert. Hope this helps.

If you choose to do a wallpaper I would only do it on the one wall. Agree with removing the arch moldings. I feel a larger more substantial lighting fixture is needed in your room. The one you have is very unique, however perhaps you can find a better spot for it. I also think a wide low buffet would look spectacular too.
