Stinging Nettle, how to cook?

I'm calling this Stinging Nettle. I found it this morning while bike riding. I collected a bag full of it. It doesn't smell especially good, kind of like rope or twine. Online info says it is good to eat but I have never cooked it. I'd like to make it into soup. Does anyone have any experience with it? I hope it tastes better than it smells, what does it taste like?
