In no way is Jennaire and Monogram in the same league as SZ. I would put them in the middle. Check out Consumer Report for reliability ratings.

If you search the forum you'll find folks have had trouble with every brand in every price range. I've had zero issues with my Thermidor dual convection ovens in 10 years but others have had nightmares with the same ones. My Bosch DW had a little fire, I've repaired my JA fridge four or five times, and my BlueStar range top has had infamous the igniter issues and the salt air loves to eat cast iron and steel. My Fridgedair washer/dryer - lots of repairs. I probably saved three grand total on my appliances getting them at an independent. But I tell my friends, if service is important to you, then chose your appliance dealer based on their service reputation because ALL appliances can have their issues. If I were to do it all again, I'd buy the same appliances, because each piece matched the quality/value equation at the time. Infallibility is not part of the appliance equation.

Struggling with this as well, but wow the Miele column looks fantastic. Trying to learn more about performance right now. Thermador is another option, cheaper than SZ more $ than GE
