Just saw the shoots coming up this weekend -- no blossoms yet.

Marie, I noticed mine just barely coming up a couple days ago.

I'm watching this with great interest because in fall 2014 I planted 5 dormant single bloodroot plants in a spot I thought they'd really like and would naturalize. There was no sign of them in spring 2015 and so far nothing this year either. I won't give up yet but it doesn't look good.

first flower open! Why did I plant it so far away from the path? I must have thought it would spread. There's been one plant there for three years.

Yup, my first one opened this morning.

My singles are starting to bloom. Doubles are still just peeping out of the ground.

Saw wild bloodroot blooming yesterday in Boscawen NH. I think it just came up because I didn't see it on Sunday.

I must have blinked and missed the flowers of several others. These are certainly fleeting. If there's not a mass then it is easy to miss a single blossom or two.

How do they trans plant?

The wild bloodroot grows in small groups so easy to spot but I think it has already gone by. I don't see blossoms but think I see the leaves. Very short season I think.

Up in three different places...two (one double) are mostly gone and one is more protected and has singles and still hanging in there. Southern NH here.

Hmmmmm.......I can't say I've ever "missed" the bloom even if it was only one. But I do look specifically for them. I did think this years bloom was a lot longer than usual since there wasn't any rain or wind while they were blooming. My doubles are still going.

Ours bloomed already and has gone by.
